What do you want fixed on WinCustomize?

Hi All,

For those of you who do not know me, I'm a developer here at Stardock.  Actually one of the original developers of WinCustomize.com.  

As you have seen, WinCustomize has not had many updates recently.  So, I'm looking to try and clean things up a little bit here. Starting out by fixing a few things.  So, I'm asking you, what issues on WinCustomize have really been bugging you that you would like to have fixed?

I could be wrong, but I don't think that is a bug. I believe it's the nature of a hyperlink.

Just letting you know that I have not forgotten about this thread.  The updates I will be doing will be on my own time, so they probably will not be timely.  Its taking me more effort to get motivated than I had anticipated, so I haven't done much yet. I do appreciate all the fix-it suggestions.

But, I did managed to do a small tweak to the searching.  You should be able to search on multiple terms now. Its not much but is a very small step forward and I will continue to tweak this over time.

I have said this before, the Author column is totally useless. I know who the author of the skins are because it's a page for my skins! Instead I would like to see that column dedicated to skin type (WB, rainy, wallpaper etc). While you're fixing this section you could add the feature to click on the column headers to sort them according to size, comments most to less etc.

No, I needed more sleep. My new 3rd shift job is scrambling my brains. ;P  P. S. The word IS spelled correctly but the usage was incorrect. Spellchecker doesn't help with context. :P

a short introduction to a book, typically by a person other than the author.

OK, major request here. How about adding the ability to upload screenshots directly into forum posts and skin comments. This would be EXTREMELY beneficial for the site, as other graphics related sites have that ability.  :)

I agree 100%. There is no good reason that I can think of for not having an image button for uploading a photo from our computers, heck even small sites like varagesale that I am a member of has that option.

are you talking about varagesale.com? that site is a lot bigger than wincustomize.com.

but yeah, anybody can use phpBB and have a working forum.

Really? I did not know that seeing how it was started here in Canada only a couple years ago. In fact I never even heard of it until a friend told me about it a few months ago.

also compare their website, mobile apps, etc. with here. here maintance is done by one guy on his own time and according to himself, it's taking him a lot of effort to get motivated. (i can fully understand that, i would want to get paid for this job)

maybe this is not a feature\fix request but only a change of the editing skins policy:

when I upload a new skin it will shown in the gallery just few minutes later (thanks to the journeyman benefits) 

but if in a second time I edit the image preview and\or the zipped content, the same skin is going to pass the moderation usually lasting 1 or 2 days

it will be good to have a direct access to the galleries also after the edit actions or at least after the image preview editing.

I agree! If you allow it to post the first time without moderation, it should not need any moderation when the author changes something minor, or major..   :thumbsup:

I think it's to prevent "bumping" but anyone who does that shouldn't be Journeyman or higher and should be stripped of title upon abuse of the privilege.
