What do you want fixed on WinCustomize?

Hi All,

For those of you who do not know me, I'm a developer here at Stardock. Actually one of the original developers of WinCustomize.com.

As you have seen, WinCustomize has not had many updates recently. So, I'm looking to try and clean things up a little bit here. Starting out by fixing a few things. So, I'm asking you, what issues on WinCustomize have really been bugging you that you would like to have fixed?

I still think IPB would take a whole lot of mess from the forums.

If I misspell a word in the reply box, it gets underlined in red. A right click on the word gives me the correct or suggested spelling and other options. I'm using IE11/Win7

So, I guess it's working for me.

Well, given the state of some posts, the spellchecker clearly doesn't work for everyone

Why when I click on the Forum it Refreshes a second time quickly allowing any PM's to

go away or just stopping you from doing anything till it does refresh ..

Just me or are other having the problem ?

Can that be fixed ?

Like it loads the page then goes blank and comes back after a bit. I thought it was my browser. Been happening for a while.

So, I guess it's working for me.

Would that not be the built in spell checker with IE? I have that too with Firefox but for me spell checker is an add on. I may have lost a few to many brain cells 30 years ago but I am not getting the spell checker for the site comment. Every browser either has one or one can be added.

By golly, you know, I think you are right. I disabled it in add-ons and no more spelcekker.

A functional spell-checker would certainly save me the job ..... JAFOCHECK

First on the [non-Admin] list ought to be the Personal sites/pages - where contributors [both content and commercial] can hang their hats...;)

Its due to the faulty spellchecker engine that Stardock built into the website - its called Jafocheck. It was designed in 1954 by a Aussie guy after he drank 15 pints of lager and was using a voice recorder to record his slurred words.............

Whatever happened to our page that looks like Christine's below?. I had it at one time but now it has gone. Why has it disappeard and can we get it back?

I checked my profile. Do you know I'm currently offline and that I was last active on March 24 2014. I think there are a few things other than search or spell checker that need some serious TLC.

Yes, that's been broken forever.

At one time, you could look at the bottom of the Forums page and see who was online. It would be nice to see that back as well.

sViz even made a widget that used that data to show this on the desktop. https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/desktopx_widgets/1214/

Also, being able to add friends like back on Impulse would be cool. There used to be a list for them on our personal page.

Those are old personal pages that were discontinued years ago.
