Layer styles in Photoshop are usually done by double clicking on the layer itself to call up the effects window or you can go down to the bottom of the layer panel and click on the fx button. All of the different effects, styles, are there, such as bevel/emboss, drop shadow, inner and outer glows etc. I haven't used version 7 in a long time. I now use version 9 which you can get for free at Adobe.com. Just sign up to create an account then type in the search pane for Photoshop 9 (CS2). Its no longer supported and there is a proviso...use at your own risk. This you can probably disregard as version 9 is stable. It will work on Win XP SP1, Win 7 and Win 8.1. I would not recommend using it on Win 10 though.

Layer styles and a lot of other free to use stuff here. Some require permission and/or link back.
