Hi gevansmd,

New to this. My Chrome is 46.... I assume that's more recent than the version you referred to. How do I apply a WB skin to Chrome? For example I am running the Hardwood skin on WB 8.13 but my Chrome doesn't render in the skin.

Thanks,

thelonius

Working on Chrome 46 here (Win7-64).

Make sure you don't have Chrome excluded within WBConfig (what you open to change skins). Open WBConfig, click on the Gear icon in the upper right corner, new window pops up, click on [Per Application] tab,  If Chrome.exe is listed, click on it and then click on the [Delete] button.

Thanks DaveRI,

Chrome not excluded, only UITEST.exe. Don't know that that is. What's the next step to getting Chrome to render in WB?

Delete the UITest.exe, its part of Chrome. Close your browser then reopen it.

getting Chrome to render in WB?

I really didn't have to do anything specific other than remove my own exclusion, but:

If you didn't reboot after the update, reboot.

While Chrome is closed, apply a WB skin, then open Chrome.

(Don't know that this really matters but...) If you have a custom Chrome theme applied within Chrome, go into the Chrome settings and reset it to the Default theme, close Chrome, re-apply a WB skin, open Chrome.

That's about all I've got.

Uvah & DaveRI,

I deleted the UITEST, set the theme to default, closed and opened Chrome, and all is copacetic. Thanks smart guys!

Have paid $19.95 for WindowBlinds 7  but in my store i have error that tell me that its not support win 8.1!

Helo, now its support coming for win 8?

You would need to upgrade WindowBlinds, version 7 is an older version.

Where did you buy WindowBlinds 7 from?

WindowBlinds 8 is the current version.

WindowBlinds 7 does not support Windows 8 or 8.1.

WindowBlinds 8 does and was released back in 2013

I became a new  Stardock user last week. I've got a Windowblinds bug going on with chrome, and I must fix it because I use a lot of web shortcuts in app mode on a big 40" 4k screen...the way it remembers separate windows is crucial.

After configuring several Stardock apps (windowFX, icon stuff, and cursor FX), my Chrome is totally whacking out and I can't fix it. I get corruption on the top of the window, to the entire window, with black triangle scaling in the content area.

I decided to do a clean Windows 7 install. My old 7 OS was almost 4 years old. Things were going along great until Windows update did its massive update of some 250 updates. Restarted, and it's all glitchy again.

Now, I had also (during the on big update) been installing and configuring windowsFX and cursors, and a couple of unrelated programs, so I don't know the exact cause. of the issue. But something is up. And it's not down to an old OS install.

3770k, 16gb ram, Asus z77, 295x2.

Thanks!

Hudson

EDIT:L  Here is what it looks like. The whole window also goes black. And if I mouse over front the top and bottom of the windows, the browser returns to normal in sections. Here I came from the top left.

You can either update to WindowBlinds 10 which resolves this issue or disable 3D (AKA hardware) acceleration in Chrome which will also fix it.

Oh, I have window blinds 10. I thought when I tried it on my last OS install it didn't work. Let me go give it a go. =)
