Sad to say, but John (vStyler) and 1 will be closing our sites very soon. Not only did my host screw everything up on both sites, but the sites have had minimal visitors over the past year and a half or so. Lucky if we got 5 visitors a day. Also, with no support yet for WB on Windows 10, the sites have become extremely non-profitable. It costs more to keep the sites up than either of us would make in 6 months, and the same is even happening here on WC in regards to sales.

I will possibly open a single site later on after WB 10 is out, but have to wait and see. In the meantime, all our work is still here on WC.  :)

I agree that it is sad to read about this but we have to realize that what is being experienced currently within the Desktop Customization Community may well be the last chapter in a very enjoyable story.      :sun:

Sorry to hear it Tom, but I know you've been having problems with your host, you have complained many times in our talks.

 

Keep skinning though, we need blinds!!

I too am sorry to hear this. Especially since I'm just getting back into things. Like all art forms customization is far from over and bumps in the road are just that...bumps. Bounce once and get right back to it. Best of luck to you and John.

well hope you do continue making skins once wblinds 10 is out.

Can you please try to make an archive of the free skins of win7?

Sorry to hear. The big sale on the bundle of skins was a great idea. If I wasn't so broke I'd have bought it. I'm sticking with win7 until I have no choice so keep on keeping on Mr. Tom!

Sorry to hear that you will shutting your site down, Lightstar.  They get expensive to maintain and they are a lot of work too.  Fingers crossed that WB 10 comes out soon.  I am soooo missing WB but good things come to those who wait.  :-)

Don't worry everyone, all my work will still be here on WC and I will continue to skin for Windows 7 and 8/8.1 and upload my work here. If and when SKS an WB 10 come out, I will be designing for WIndows 10 also and may open a new personal site, but for now everything will be on WC and some my free releases are/will also be on GraphicStyles.org.  :)

Sorry to hear this, Tom. I have no idea how much it costs to maintain a website but if it is a sales site, I know you do need traffic. I'm sure the lack of WindowBlinds support for Windows 10 has greatly affected your sales. Although I personally don't find any reason to switch from Win 7 to 10, I'm sure that many, many people have . Good luck to you and John with any future site plans when WB does become available for the new OS.
