Ok, well, you asked for it:

  • When are we going to get the modding documentation that was promised to us in the September 9th twitch? (see thread http://forums.sorcererking.com/471982/page/1/ for more details)
  • Help understanding triggers (see thread http://forums.sorcererking.com/471340/page/1 for more details)
  • Is there a way to random item gives?  You give random recipes but does the same code work for randomizing item gives? (see thread http://forums.sorcererking.com/471121/page/1/ for more details).
  • Is there a way they can start adding some sort of versioning to the xml so we know if something was changed in an update?  That way if we do mod stuff, we know what's changed.
  • Are they ever going to make it so the Steam workshop can be used with the game.  That would be a neat way for people to mod with and for the game as well.  Maybe we don't like the picture of the priestess and want a different picture.  Well, getting something through the workshop would be cool!

I know this will be partially covered in the next podcast, but anything from them to help people Mod the game would be awesome.

And this is not specifically for the Dev's, but more towards Stardock support (so I guess feedback for them) - closing tickets and not telling the person who submitted the ticket anything is not cool.  I've had stardock tickets closed and not told anything about it.  Most of the time I've been reporting bugs and they just get closed.  Very frustrating.  Also, frustrating when we tell them specifically what the problem is, where it is, and how to fix it and then support ask us to run the silly support tool.  I know it's their job (I manage a support desk), but it's rather hair-pulling when I am telling specifically what the problem is and how to fix it and get told to run the support tool.

Hi I just bought this game, I was wondering if any future patches will be specifically focused on the Ai. I think the best thing about you guys is that your Ai rocks and I know that galciv 3 1.4 is specifically focused on Ai improvements. Is there a patch like this coming up?

Also, I've heard people say that being evil is not as viable as being good. Will balance between the choices of characters and paths be looked at as well? What specifically?

My main questions right now:

1. Any changes being considered for rival diplomacy? Is the current system where you're able to game the favor gains to ally with two mortal enemies (like both the Frozen Realm and Ice Lords) intended? It feels abusive/exploitative, at least.

2. Any changes being considered for how the SK's threat goes up? It feels odd how you can have the SK pinned inside his citadel with outposts and slaughter both of his lieutenants, but he still doesn't consider you a threat and keeps offering you trade requests.

Other than that, I wrote two feedback posts not that long ago, so most of my suggestions/comments on sovereigns and champions are in those.

I wasn’t sure where to post this:

Possible DLCs?

I would like to see more Lieutenants for the Sorcerer King.  Maybe you could have 2 lieutenants on the tiny maps, 3 on the small, 4 on the medium, 5 on the large.  They could be randomly generated from a list of 8 lieutenants.  Each map would randomly generate the lieutenants, making it a bit of a surprise each game.  I would buy this DLC.

I would also like to see more units for the Sorcerer King, make his armies more dynamic.  I would pay for this in a DLC.

I would like to play as other races; each race would need to have its own unique builds and trainable units.  Again I would pay for this.

I would like to see DLC every 4-6 months maybe.

Possible updates?

As an update I would like to see the enchant items options cleaned up.  I find it hard to find the character’s item I want to enchant.  It would be so handy to just right click the item from the character’s equipment menu and enter the enchant screen from there.

Also it would be helpful to see how many of an item I have when another faction, or the Sorcerer King, offers me a trade.  For example, how many clouded rubies do I have, how many cedar wood oils do I have?  Then I would better know if I would accept that trade.

I think these should be updates, not DLC.

Oh and I hate having two of the same hero, as can happen when you start with a certain hero and then find a hero statue of the same hero.  In an update maybe the hero statue could not be the same as the hero you started with.

I have two questions.

First question:

Where is the map editor for the game? I want to create highly customized maps. For example, make an island chaim with each island having its own exclusive climate (full arctic on 1 island, full swamp on 2nd island, full desert on 3rd island, etc.) or make a map with only one shard in it. Or a map with 2 or 3 separate continents which would mean more use of "Summoned Ship".

Second question:

Allow movement through tiles with allied units. Also, allow road placement, terrain terraforming (raise / lower land or restore / revive terrain) on tiles with allied units or your own units. Especially within your own territory. I have had to resort to the "-cheat" option in shortcut just so that I can teleport those allied units out of the way or "delete" them by using "kill unit" cheat command. By "allied units" I mean all minor factions who you allied with. It's incredibly annoying when they send units into your territory and they sit next to your cities and never move at all. I've had stacks of 10+ allied armies permanently stationed right next to my capital city of Athica in my games. So I cheat-kill (Control + K) those units just so my units can move through that tile which has a road on it. Or open up a grassland tile to restore land on that had those 10+ allied stacks on.

I shouldn't have to use cheat console / command like that to address the allied stacks. When I use cheats for that, which is 100% legit, I get "You're CHEATER!" on end-of-game scoring when I play 100% legit with everything else except killing off or teleporting away these super-annoying allied units.
