What sorcerer king needs to be a great game.

This game has some potential, but sadly it seems wasted. 

#1 I think the quests needs some pictures, not movies. Just some .jpg files to add flavor and immersion to the world. The pure text is skippable and annoying as it is now. It needs more immersion. If you add that, I am okay with the choices being somewhat bland.

#2 Remove the whole city founding thing. Stick with a capital, and create some outpost thing instead. Focus more on the RPG part than the resource and settling one. I am not playing this game as FE:LH and should not be. Shards should give quests to capture them instead of creating pioneers to capture them. 

#3 Tie armor etc. to your capital. You should start out with leather armor and work with that. It should take more time to get chain mail etc. and a city tier req. would go a long way fixing that. As it is, I skip the whole leather thing, and just go for chain, and enchant that with the pelts I have gathered instead, It should not work like this. 

#4 Add some environment crazyness aka, endless legend etc. We need some "mood" going to get this game to the awesomeness it deservers. And that winter is the whole selling point of that series almost. It creates crazy mood. If the doomsday counter actually affected the world somehow, that would be EXACTLY what this game needs to create a "mood". At the end, it should go batshit crazy doomsday, with death all over the place.

I can agree here. I particularly like the suggestions regarding crystal shards and city founding. The idea of further upgradeable outposts instead of city founding feels good.

I'd really just like to know what is in the plans for SK at this point...

Definitely agree on the mood.   Terrain should change.   Bad things should happen.  The last 25% of the clock should be one big 'oh shit' moment as you try to beat it back or get to the SK.  With that said, no one likes a slog so there needs to be an offset - if tons of fights, then better ways to get movement back.  If far away, do we still have that cast and bring all the armies to one location thing.

I agree on the armor.  I don't mind the cities, but purely to get more opportunity/production.  I rarely ever get a secondary city up to high levels.    Speaking of endless legend, the faction with 1 city was very fun to play.   Tie that in with a more robust outpost concept and it would be nice.  

With all that said, I got into the xml for elementaldefs... that still has all the old FE/LH stuff so its probably baked in at this point.
