Were these for a previous version of the game/series?

I haven't been able to get these to work as described. The training queue works, but not the items. Kinda curious to see what items I have yet to find. Also, the idea of breeding champions is kinda cool (fan of Agarest series). Anyway, do these even work with FE:LH?
