Crash to desktop and unloadable save issues.

Hey. So I really like this game but I have two glaring issues:
1) Semi-frequent seemingly random CTD's. At least autosaves help.
2) After sinking 30+ turns into a multiplayer game with a friend, we had to save to take a break, upon returning we could not get the save file to work. Every time he tried to join rehosting the save my friend would get "Host Disconnected" message when the game would just start up for me, then for all intents and purposes turn into a singleplayer game.
