Game Experience

Hello Servo Comunity!
My name is stAA and to start I would like to say thanks for this game. I'm a really good fan of RTS and I just love the way Servo is!

This post will be like a request of optimization of the game.

I've a portable pc i7 2.4GHz turbo boost to 3.2GHz with a nvidia gforce gt 650m 2G. I know it isn't a good computer atm ( :'( ).
I am not having the same smooth you have in the gameplays I see. It is normal. But is being really hard to select units and so on. It should't be like that no?! Well in CS:GO (don't know if I can talk about it in here, sorry if no) I have 200fps
The game is still in the alpha/beta phase but can you give me a feedback if I can play the game or if I can't in the future?

Appreciate your work. Keep going!
Regards!

PS: Sorry about my English ;)

The developers have said before that they're still optimizing pathfinding (this is the reason for units being able to move through each other and the cap on how many units you can select at once), but that isn't usually the problem for people who aren't getting good frame rates. I suspect they haven't put a lot of effort into making sure all the effects run well on low-spec computers yet. On most desktops the game runs at a constant 60 FPS and doesn't have problems with CPU bottlenecks. Early on you could tank the frame rate by trying to place a building without there being any valid spot to place it, but they fixed that.

There are a few graphics options you could try turning off to reduce the strain on your graphics card, but you might have tried it already. Bloom, screenspace ambient occlusion, high dynamic range lighting, gibs, as well as turning down the shadow quality slider. The shadow slider is probably the most important option there. You can completely disable shadows by moving the slider all the way to the left. If you haven't tried it yet, give that a shot, nice soft shadows are expensive to render and probably not a good idea on a mobile GPU.

Hopefully a dev answers your post, they've been kinda busy lately and not able to reply to every post.

Tried everything and still the same. There aren't much options in graphic settings to improve game experience with lower GPUs.

I'm really in love with SERVO but if I can't play for sure I won't have it you know :\ It's being an hard decision...

Awww, that's a shame. BXP's other games have been on phones using the same engine so hopefully they can get it to run better on laptops etc. If you're still eligible for a refund maybe just hold onto the game until launch and see how it ends up then.

I will hold for the launch :) I just can't leave this game behind! You're a good guy Dracohouston! Thanks for the help you gave me in my decision!
