"We've fixed made some improvements to multiplayer especially in reducing the number of disconnects. We have also increased the maximum multiplayer map size to "gigantic."
To enable the opt-in, please do the following:
1. Select "Galactic Civiliation III" in your Steam Library list
2. Right-click and select Properties
3. Select the BETAS tab
From the dropdown, select opt-in v1.3.2 and click Close (if you don't see this option, restart Steam)
Changes
+ Increased maximum multiplayer map size to Gigantic
+ Fixed a problem where peers were not updating their heartbeat while loading the map and thus causing a disconnect.
+ Fixed a problem where all of the players would choose "ready" but the host could not start the game.
+ Separated the networking and loading processing to different threads to prevent timeouts while starting the game.
+ Prevented a multiplayer disconnect issue caused by the player spending the Thalan's bonus tech points in the first turn.
+ Fixed a few stuck turn problems"

thanks everyone,
Hmmm I opted in for this patch, but my game still says 1.31
So, let's see. Notwithstanding the presence of future sales (GC III is on sale right now, as a matter of fact), there is now $25 worth of DLC out there. Only $25 to go or so before I break even as an Elite Founder. ![]()
And that ignores all the extra time I had with the game. ![]()
Now, now, don't be forgetting interest. It's so terrible to be forgetting interest, especially over such a short period; you've missed the whole two cents or so that that extra $50 you forked over would have brought you from sitting in the bank account over all this time.
Just to double check, are we talking simple interest, compound interest.... Or exponential interest on this economic growth I could have been getting?
I'm such a bad boy at times.
;p
I computed it using compound interest compounded monthly, assuming an annual interest rate of 0.1%, and you're right, I should have said what I used; after all, the difference between compound and simple interest over such a great period of time as five months produces a difference of nearly four ten thousandths of a cent between simple interest and compound interest compounded monthly with such a significant amount of principal as $50. Continuously compounded interest, which I think is what you mean by 'exponential interest' (A(t) = A(0)*e^(r*t)?), would have gotten me an impressive one ten thousandth of a cent beyond the twenty thousand eight hundred and thirty seven ten thousandths of a cent that monthly compounding produced (some rounding may be involved).
v1.31 is the current version of the game. This did not update the version number.
Oh, that's good to know. Unfortunately, I'm still having the problem I was hoping it'd fix. No mods, just a couple changes to Improvements.def, playing the campaign, my game randomly ctd, and I can't load any saves afterward.
