[Mod] Broken Things fixed

Hi there:

  So, I've decided I'm going to start posting up files that people can use which are modified (no warranty, no promises to not break anything, etc.) or Star Dock can use which fixes some things which don't work right.  So, here is the first one (which is easy and works with 1.3).  I'll post them file by file so people can decide if they want the file or not.

CoreAbilitiesTree.xml

  • Fixed Tinker Enchanted Maps to give the +2 birch scrolls has written.
  • Finked Tinker Clairvoyance Amulets to give Radiant Diamond and Platinum Chain has written.

Directions:

  • Download the file and unzip to Steam/steamapps/common/Sorcerer King/data/English.
  • copy over the existing CoreAbilitiesTree.xml.
  • Enjoy the sovereign skills working as written.

If people post other things that need to be fixed, I'll try to get them to work.

CoreRecipes.xml

  • There were two recipes for Staff of the Furnace, but one pointed to making a Hailstone Staff.  Changed that recipe to now allow for a Winter's Staff which is a level 9 staff which does pretty decent damage.  Had to modify the recipe to be wintery.

CoreWeapons.xml

  • Reduced penalty for Hellfire Staff from -6 to -2 for combat speed.  Made it comparable to Hailstone Staff (same staff basically just one is cold and the other fire).
  • Reduced damage for Leht staff from 9 to 8 to make comparable to it's counterparts the Hailstone Staff and Hellfire Staff (both of which do 8 in their elemental damages).

  • copy over the existing CoreRecipes.xml and CoreWeapons.xml
  • Weapons and Recipes should do what is expected.

Ok, this fixes another problem in the tinker skill tree.

CoreAbilitiesTree.xml

  • Fixed Tinker Master Enchanter ability.  It gave Level 7 & 8 for Chaos and Enchantment.  Adds level 7 for Summoning and Wrath (which were missing).  Now the ability gives level 7&8 for all spell categories (Chaos, Enchantment, Summoning, and Wrath).

Two different files get fixed.  Each has their own download.

CoreAbilitiesTree.xml

  • This isn't necessarily a fix as much as it is tweaking.  The forging skills for all the sovereigns were very similar.  I added and/or replaced things to make them fit more thematically (in my mind) with the sovereign.
  • Priestess:  Added Plate Boots, Plate Helm, and Plate Chestplate (only sovereign without even chainmail armor in the forging skill).
  • Priestess:  Added Iru Elixir to Priestess
  • Commander:  Replaced Ring of the Vanguard with Crimson Ring.
  • Commander:  Replaced Scroll of the Blizzard with Flame wave scroll.
  • Guardian:  Added Deathward scroll.
  • Guardian: Added Amulet of the Eagle.
  • Wizard:  Replaced Crimson Ring with Ring of Mastery.
  • Wizard: Added Amulet of Sorcerery.
  • Tyrant: Replaced ring of the vanguard with Crimson Ring.
  • Tyrant: Added Band of Berserker
  • Tyrant:  Added Cloak of the Night

  • Priestess:  Renamed Clairvoyance III to Clairvoyance II (since that is what it should be).
  • Priestess:  Renamed Clairvoyance IV to Clairvoyance III (since that is what it should be).

One thing, if you grab the latest version of one of the files, it includes all the previous fixes as well.

Nevermind, it seems that they (Stardock) incorporated them into the 1.3 patch and didn't say anything.

+ Community Fixes
- Enchanted Maps now properly gives Birch Scroll X2
- Clairvoyance Amulet now properly gives Radiant Diamond and Platinum Chain
- Description for the Avenger's Bow no longer describes itself as a Battle Axe
- There were two recipes named "Staff of the Furnace", one of which actually made a Hailstone Staff (which already has its own recipe). Now there is one recipe for each item.

They also took a couple of my other things I reported but never said anything about.

Did you have the box marked "Use Mods" in the options in-game checked?

Without checking that the game is supposed to ignore the mods folder.

Yeah.  This is my first star dock game, so still learning my way around things.  And no worries about insulting, pretty thick skinned.  ^_^
