Hi,I only purchased objectdock a few weeks ago and am running it in Windows 10.
Today when I logged onto my laptop my dock had only the start icon and recycle bin and weather icon and all of my icons I previously set up on it were gone,this is the 2nd time this has happened and I am not sure how to keep it from happening again.
You can back up your settings by opening OD Config and clicking on Settings, then Troubleshooting options. You will see a button to open your OD settings folder ( C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Stardock\ObjectDockPlus) so you can back them up. At least then, next time, you can just replace the files and get everything back.
Hi,when I get to the od settings folder I am unsure about how to do the back up,can you guide me through this please?
Open the folder and copy everything in it. Save the contents somewhere. To restore the backup after a crash/loss, just navigate to that folder, copy the saved files back into that folder and restart OD.
Hi,When I started my laptop up today the same thing has happened where the dock has reset itself and shows only the start menu,n/a,recyclebin and clock.
I deleted the settings in objectdock and moved my backed up saved files over to the settings and restarted the dock but it is still the same.
I am now going to have to set it up again for the same thing to happen again.
