Servo Beta 4 Economy Changes

Welcome to Beta 4! The full change log for this update can be viewed here on Servogame.com.  It's not quite as long a list as the previous update, which was a monster, but it's still a pretty big wall of text.  Certainly one of the major highlights, besides the new and beautiful version of the Creep Rock City and Degrees of Ire maps, is the addition of Supply Drones.

What do Supply Drones do? They act like Villagers or Peons to some degree and they speed up the gathering of Bloom.  You train them out of your Dropship and you task them to a Bloom Refinery where they speed up its production of Bloom.

Why is this good? You can BOOM your economy.  Build a bunch of Supply Drones and you will soon have resources flooding in.  This can help you leap ahead to S-con3, drop in your third Servo and unlock powerful abilities and upgrades to overwhelm your opponent.  You can also target your opponent's economy and take out his Supply Drones to slow down his production or researches.

But my Bloom Refinery still producers Bloom on its own, what gives? Yes, Bloom Refineries still produce Bloom like they did before but at a much slower rate now.  It takes about two Supply Drones working on a Bloom Refinery to bring its resource production up to the speed they had in previous versions of the game.  You can task as many Supply Drones as you want to work on the same Bloom Refinery to suck it dry in a hurry if you want.

Well that sounds interesting! You bet it is.  It's an interesting layer to the game that might take a bit of getting used to if you're a veteran of previous versions of the game, but it's definitely got me thinking of how I can expand, boom, raid, and protect my economy while I try to deny my enemy safe Bloom Wells for his.  Grab the latest Servo update, try it out, and let us know what you think.
