Start menu in Start 8 not there!

Long story short Start8 having no problems for years.  Today I install the update and the start menu disappears.  I can no longer see the class start8 start menu on my 8.1 machine.  I attempted to uninstall and install the previous version back on.  Start menu is still gone.  Has anyone else experienced this?  How did you fix it if you have?

Well I found the problem The_gear.  My issue is I had to replace my hard drive in my computer.  I redownloaded the software and reinstalled on my new hard drive and it was telling me I had too many license activation.  Any idea on how to reset them?
