Can't change any settings in the options menus

okay guys, just downloaded Ashes and gone in to the options menus to play with Video settings... when I change some things (like setting MSAA to 4x and turning off Vsync), I click "ok" and it says "restart required" and the only option I can click is "exit" which closes the game... reopen the game, go back in to options and everything is still on default, can't change a thing... also, it's defaulted to 1920x1080 but when I run the benchmark it runs at 1908x1041 !?

is anyone else getting this (can't change any settings) or know a work around?

I've just found a post by one of the devs that mentions "MyGames\Ashes of the Singularity\settings.ini" but I can't find that file anywhere?

I have tried running the exe as administrator and same deal

What is your OS? Perhaps you have permissions issues writing to that directory? Do you have a MyGames/Ashes folder at all?

that's the problem, I don't know what folder its trying to create that all in, I don't have a MyGames folder at all and the only Ashes folder is the one within Steamapps

yes that's got it, I had to create both My Games and an Ashes folder and set them both to Everyone Full Control, which is weird as no other games have had any trouble creating and maintaining their own folders within Documents
