Test before buying?

Hi,

I'm very interested in these large scale RTS games but since Ashes of the Singularity is pretty hardware-heavy and my PC isn't the fastest one, is there a way to test it before buying? Something like a 10 minute demo just to see if it's running at all?

That is NOT an answer to my question. This wouldn't be the first (pre-)alpha i'm testing but i'm not going to give money when i'm in doubt if it works on my pc.

Generally speaking, I strongly discourage people from joining founder's programs.  Even if your hardware is good, there's a decent chance it could be weeks before it works well.  

Ashes right now is at alpha level so it's most definitely not fun to play.

Well, until now i was pretty lucky with the games i founded/bought in EA ^^ And if a game looks interesting enough i'd like to support it :) I haven't checked for any financial informations, if the game needs money for completion or if it's already paid completely. The "pay 55$ more for the lifetime season pass"-banner makes it look a bit like you need more money to make it to release :D

 

Weeeell, it could work. Especially since i don't plan on having 4-6k units running around on the map. Usually, in SupCom and PA at least, i mostly have 500-1k units and only play against AI.
