Unable to change username

Hello,

I am currently unable to change my display user name to something cooler than the current one, since I did not even get to pick this one its not really fair that Im stuck with a name i didnt even choose. Everytime I try, it tells me my password is incorrect, but I log-in with that password, and I can access the vault with that password. If the name is already taken, then okay, I can come up with something different, but I am 100% sure the password is correct.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you cleared your cache and browser cookies?

I just tried that, still getting the same error. Is it possible the usernames were all taken? It still tells me the password is incorrect, when in fact I just used it to login, with no problems.

I put in a ticket, but I have not yet heard back.

It's possible it has been taken. If so, then you would need to choose a different one. Perhaps with numbers or spaces to keep it similar.

I had suspected that might the case, so I had even tried a few strings of random characters, but I still get the same error. I am almost certain now that it has nothing to do with the chosen username, but is instead a problem with the password validation.

As mentioned before, I can login fine with it, and I can access the vault, but any time I try to use it to either change the password, or change the username, it tells me the current password is incorrect.

I just verified it to be working. Can you try a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome? Can you try changing only your username, and nothing else when you do so?

I am currently using chrome, and I tried them both, but at separate times.

Edit:, tried edge, same error. I can try downloading Firefox, but I dont think it will change anything.

Can you make sure the password fields are empty when you attempt to change the username?

I have tried this, it tells me to enter my current password, when I do, it tells me its incorrect, however I know for a fact it is. I have even copy/pasted to make sure i wasnt typing it correctly, I have also tried it on 2 different computers and 2 different internet connections, same thing on both.

Edit: I got a response from my ticket, but its the most unhelpful canned response Ive ever gotten, and is not even remotely related to my issue.

I've verified this again to be working.

Log in here:

https://store.stardock.com/myaccount

Click Account Management, which leads to Account Info.

Change your username and click update. If you are prompted for a password, you've been logged out or have corrupt cookies/cache.

Check the example below:

It works now. I was attepmting to do from the ashe of the singularity site, which doesnt work. However, doing it from stardock's site does. My appologies for misunderstanding how I needed to do it.
