8.12 won't install minimum requirements error abort My 8.05 works so this is just stupid.

Sorry yes it's Windows 10 Home. Caffeine hadn't kicked in... :'(
Well the earlier version is working and installed ok so I suspect there's something wacky in the latest incarnation. No big deal, I'll sit the dance out until fix or version 10.
No version of WindowBlinds 8 works correctly on Windows 10.
The newer version will block install because it is aware of Windows 10 but 8.05 does not which is why it is not warning you. Neither work correctly on Win 10 though.
One reason I have 'several' machines myself is so I can be a bit 'blase' with how I deal with installs and updates. One of the 3 machines [so far] I have upgraded to Win 10 [from Win 8.1] had Windowblinds 8 on it. I intentionally didn't uninstall it before the upgrade even knowing it DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY... and lo and behold... it sure doesn't.
Some people [with a history of beta wrangling] will gleefully cross the line of 'sensible' and break things till it hurts.... but for the GENERAL USER it is always going to be wise NOT to 'boldly go', not if they need a reliable machine/OS, particularly IF subsequent correction means [or can mean] a loss of important data at worst...or productivity/peace of mind at best....;)
