Steam no Direct X 12 files

I was interested to read about this new game, excited to support it but very keen to try out the direct x 12 features.

Running windows 10 and direct x 12 with a new Titan x and seeing today was the release day I signed up as a founder.

Download was fast and I keenly clicked the direct x 12 option in the Alpha preview game, no files, followed steams examples and then looked closer, there are no obvious direct x 12  executables how on earth do you start it or are the files simply not available yet.

A little underwhelmed at present :(

The new dx12 version is not out yet. I hope it comes today but if not then it should be very soon.

 

p.s. With your system it looks like you might not really need dx12 to run the game well, though I can certainly understand your curiosity to see how it will perform. I think it will be people with lower to middling systems who notice more of a difference as it should bump up fps or allow them to up a few graphics options. If a powerful card is running the game maxed out and at or above the Hz of their monitor on dx11 then going to 12 won't making any noticeable difference. Of course if the game is super demanding or you like to play at super high resolutions I might be wrong :)

But i am sure that they are finishing last minute optimizations and in house testing, so yes they said by the 13th of August, it should be soon...today or tonight or... Soon.

I would like to hear a quick statement if it is coming today or not... enough tease already. ^^

I checked AMD driver page and they have not released a new driver today... maybe that is the holdup.
