Error while installing Start8

from Stardock Forums

Just bought a new PC, the first thing I did was come here to install Start8.  During the install, I get this message: "Encountered a sharing violation while accessing C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start8\Start8_32.dll"  Any idea how to fix this?

Me too!  The title of the pop up sys "irsetup" and the text of the pop up says "Encountered a sharing violation while accessing C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start8\Start8Config.exe".  Please help.

Which antivirus product are you using?

Some have a bug which can cause installers to have sharing issues as they are trying to scan the files while they are trying to be moved.
