A few questions

Hi there. I have a few questions. I appreciate the help.

1) Is there an official manual, other than the "Early Access Manual".

2) Looking for a complete list of hotkeys. Also, can you change these?

3) Idle units. I noticed that many times the game is telling me "Turn" to end the turn, but I have several units that have not yet moved. If tab is utilized for selecting idle units, then this completely breaks the flow of the game, as many times it will simply end my turn when I'm looking to select the next unit that has NOT moved. Strange

4) Is there something obvious that shows how much movement a unit has consumed in a turn? I'm finding the only way to know is by clicking on a tile and seeing if the "2" comes up for the next turn.

Thanks in advance.

1) The best source of help ATM is from the in-game (?) button in the upper right corner.  We also have an updated manual on our radar, but bugs and improvements currently take priority.

2) We'll make sure to include this in manual v2, but this list is pretty good:

http://orcz.com/Fallen_Enchantress:_Hotkeys

Big changes are...

  • ASDW pan the camera
  • TAB will activate whatever is on the TURN button (Research Spell, Level Up Unit/City, or Advance the Turn)

These are set however, and cannot be changed in-game.

3) That TAB change mentioned above is probably the cause of the confusion here :)

4) Unfortunately no :( A little icon on the Overview>Armies pane would be useful, though.  I'll bring it up at the next meeting!

Let us know if you have any more questions and we'll let you know when SK Manual 2.0 is done ;)

Scott, I was on the stream today and I mentioned the tab bug (at least I feel it's a bug) and that I could upload a save game. Where/how should I upload it?

Basically, I have a game that I've saved on turn 46ish, and the button on the lower right says "Turn", and I've validated that I have units with movement points left. If I hit tab, it will move to the next turn, thus the movement is lost.

Don't think I can attach here in the forums so let me know.

Thanks

The official way: https://esupport.stardock.com/ and hit the submit ticket button. If it is the first time you submit a ticket then do not login on the support site, because it does not work with the same credentials as the forum / store. If you have submitted a ticket before you can login on the support site and then submit the ticket. You get credentials for the esupport site after submitting your first ticket.

Using the official ticket makes sure it ends up in their bug tracking system. And you can always tell the support staff in the ticket that it was discussed with Scott during the Dev Stream chat.

The unofficial way (normally only done when Scott asks you explicitly for a save on a problem mentioned in the forum / chat): email to [email protected]
