Start menu will not save to my preferred style

When I try to configure Start10 to my preferred setup, there is no option to save my preferences. As a result, the appearance of my start menu changes regularly, which is disrupting my ability to access applications on my computer. The applications pinned to my taskbar also show up only erratically. It would be preferable if Start10 would allow me to set my own preferences rather than rotating through a selection of options each time I use my computer!
