Feature Request - Remove Search Bar from Start10 Menu

Indeed

Hello there Stardock people,

It seems currently that the presence of a search bar in the Start10 menu is determined by the theme in use, with only the 'Windows 10 style' theme removing the bar entirely. This means that if I use any different theme I will always get a Start10 searchbar (correct me if I'm wrong!). However, I'm quite fond of the new taskbar search feature, and it's mildly clunky to have both the taskbar search functionality exist alongside the Start10 search functionality if I'm using one of the latter themes (in my opinion, at least). Whilst this is by no means a massive problem, it is unsightly, and my suggestion would be to have the option to remove/add the searchbar in the Start10 menu, independent of the theme being used.

Apologies this is a large request in response to an only minor inconvenience, but I thought I'd share it anyway! Aside from this, I'm enjoying the software massively; the original start menu was quite unbearable.

right click your taskbar and youll see cortana under toolbars section. you can hide her completely turn her into just the search bar or just show her as an icon.this is native in windows 10 so ya i think adding a feature like this would be pointless if it can already be done

No no I think (I may be wrong) you misunderstand. I want to keep to keep the default taskbar search functionality (cortana or not) on the taskbar and remove the search bar from the Start10 menu. The Start10 Search bar is only removed if I choose the 'Windows 10 Style' theme, otherwise the search bar is always present in the start menu. I'm well aware than you can hide the taskbar search functions - but I want to keep it and remove the search bar from the start menu! Having two search bars is a tad redundant, and if I were to choose between the two I'd personally keep the taskbar search.

Reading over the original post again it appears that I wasn't being massively clear, so I hope this clears things up.

I'd like to actually suggest just the reverse: add the search bar to all styles i,e, to the Win 10 style as well and make it switchable. I tried searching for the same item in the Win 10 search and in Start 10 search and I got different results. This looks like Start 10 uses a different search mechanism - and the results were more meaningful to me. In this way every user can decide whether to have visible the Win 10 search or the Start 10 search or both.
