Sorcerer King Beta 5.52 Changelog

There’s a ton of bug fixes in this build as well as some balance adjustments.  We've also added some choices scale the UI to improve the appearance on higher resolution displays.

UI Improvements & Visual improvements

  • Added option to change the overall UI scale to options screen for higher resolution monitors


Balance & Tweaks

  • Slowed down the rate in which minors become enthralled by the SK

  • If threat is 5, the LTs will start destroying cities

  • Every so many turns, the LTs will get additional units added to their army

  • Tyrant's COERCION spell has been nerfed to a 50% bonus


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a stray river that was appearing on random maps

  • Fixed problems with flawless victories and autoresolve for the AI

  • Changed internal name of certain spellbook items (chaos7, Summoning 1,2,3) that are used to enchant other items, but do not currently work as intended.

  • Fix to the annoying hourglass cursor issue.

  • Fix to resolve negative mana

  • Quest mentions this is a meadow where Tandis died. Revised to read Talax.

  • Fixed typo "through your way"->"threw your way"

  • Quests were awarding Logistician, but labelling it an Administrator. Changed unit label to Logistician. Reamed the unit label from "Toady" to "Administrator"

  • Fixed bug that could allow the LTs to potentially be destroyed

  • Every so many turns, the LTs will get additional units added to their army

  • FIXED: Fixed rare case where the FOW would disappear after the player loads their game.

  • FIXED: Outposts only adjust their Sensor Range if the size of their ZOC is larger than their current sensors

  • FIXED: Once the NATURES VISION Guardian ability was unlocked, the game no longer incrementing Outposts' LOS by +2 every turn

  • Fixed text on TENT item modifier description

  • Fixed TOKEN OF THE WOLF to properly summon a wolf

  • Fixed description text on EYES OF THE EAGLE to mention that you only see enemy units for 1 turn.

  • Hooked up Vorpal weapons

  • FIXED: Rock slides could disappear from the map if you returned to it a second time.

  • Added the manual

Excellent to see a bunch of fixes, some of which I certainly encountered and did post as bugs.

 

However, there are few bugs/issues that I can't see a fix for...

 

1. What about the 50 XP potions? Do they now award experience correctly?

 

2. Also the Sorcerer bailing in the final fight - is that addressed? Anti-climax to be in the final fight and in the second turn the enemy pulls the plug and declares you the winner.

 

3. Can the final score be displayed clearly on the victory summary screen? At the moment it is not possible to see what the final score was.

 OOoooo Nooooo  :(O :omg: .   Actually i like the idea but it could make game play a real bitch is not balanced  right.  Are you sure you want to plop something like this in 2 days pre release?

If one of them stomps up to your capital (&only city) randomly (early-mid game) its going to be an auto lights out for the player

 

 

.. Oh, and what about ChungasRevenge's list?  I to hope they will be fixed
