WindowBlinds/Start8 problem

Everytime I start/restart my Windows 8 laptop I get the window for Start8 and WindowBlinds 8 telling me that my license has expired.  I enter the info and it says it has been successfully activated.  But then he window closes and when I try to use either of those two programs the 'license has expired' window pops back up and I reenter the account info.  Over and over and over.  I am not having this problem with Fences 2, IconDeveloper, IconPackager 5, SkinStudio 8, Theme Manager, or WindowsFX 5 which are also installed and running on this laptop.  (I have the monthly subscription thing.)  I am also not having this problem on any of my other 4 laptops running either Win7 or Win8 and running similar Stardock programs.

Other info is that today I ran a full scan with McAfee (which locked up at 78% and needed a hard restart) and that seemed to be when the problems started.  No other programs on this laptop seem to have been affected.


Please help me since I need these two programs to work right.  I love the Stardock programs which help me to tolerate Windows 8 (which I do not love...)

You may have to wait on this as Stardock personnel are off this week and even though they will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time, you should expect delays in responses.

Most likely you will need to delete the License.sig file in your Stardock/*AppName* folder and reactivate. Or what may be happening is that McAfee is deleting that License.sig file and you'll want to safelist the Stardock apps with McAfee.

I am having the same error as well, however, it is with DeskScapes 8. I'm running Windows 7 (Ultimate 64bit) and also have the month subscription. I looked for the file you mentioned but it doesn't seem to exist in my folder. Instead I have a License_SAS.txt that I tried deleting to no avail. Help!?

Witam!

Mam taki problem. Windows Blinds 8.12 zainstalowany prawidłowo, klucz legalny, program otwiera się, ale nie chce dokonać zmian graficznych. Ukazuje się komunikat, że program w instalacji wykazuje jakieś błędy. jest to nieprawda bo po przeinstalowaniu dalej ten sam błąd. Po prostu program nie zatwierdza zmian. Wszystko to dzieje się pod Windows 8 pro 64 bit.

Nie mam już do niego zdrowia

I have a problem. Windows Blinds 8.12 installed correctly, the key legal, the program opens but does not want to make graphic changes. Distributed message that the system has a few bugs. This is not true because after you reinstall continue the same mistake. Just program does not approve the change. All this happens under Windows 8 pro 64 bit.
