Overpowered ai on normal

Started playing game about a month ago, so I am not completely familiar with all the intricacies. Am playing on normal, epic with Magesta. On year 228, not sure what turn # that is. Started with 10 enemies, down to 7 because Irin is on insane setting. The faction scores range from 12(the ai cannot play the undead for some reason) to 145, except for Irin at 2851. Is this a normal thing and how much does it matter?

Sorry, I worded the statement poorly. All factions are on normal, it just seems Irin is on insane setting. Thanks your answers, they helped quite a bit. Definitely eliminating the undead from now on.

I have continued playing this game, and Irin was up to 6281 power, and quit. Is that because of the unrest problem?
