Thunderbird + WindowBlinds problem

Hi guys,

I've had a trawl through the internet to try and find a solution to the problems I'm having, and to no avail.

The main problem so far seems to be running WindowBlinds 8.12 (with Win 8 Metro theme) and Mozilla Thunderbird 38.0.1 at the same time. It just seems really buggy. I'm having problems accessing the Thunderbird menus and min/max/close buttons because they flicker and act very strangely when I hover over them. When I minimize TB, then maxamise again, everything turns black until I hover over the various elements. When I change back to an 'Aero' theme, it all works fine again.

It's as if WB is trying to skin things that are resisting it.

I'm no expert, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Stu W.

It is not the fault of Windowblinds, it is the fault of Mozilla for making products that do not follow industry standards. Try excluding Thunderbird from being skinned in Windowblinds settings, that should help. I use Thunderbird also, but I refuse to update beyond version 28 for this reason.

Lightstar is 100% correct. I like using Chrome but won't update because the latest version conflicts with WB. Those browser people think they have to update every month and usually it does nothing one can see. If they used standard practices all would be fine. Really can't expect stardock to update windowblinds every week just to try and keep up with these people.

Do as Tom said and exclude it in windowblinds from skinning and use the standard skin that comes with the browser or other software.
