Just one question

I'm using Firefox with Classic Theme Restorer add-on and here's how it goes :

Visionner l'image

though where's the color of menu defined in SkinStudio 8 (black on black background is not easy  ), and as well for mouse over and so ?

Unfortunately neophil, one cannot skin for every application out there, and if you change the text in one place, it will more than likely screw up another place. Not using Firefox myself, I have no way of checking for that. Internet Explorer, thanks to Microsoft, has the same issue at times.   :S

You can try changing the Menu Text color using SkinStudio 8, but I don't know if that will work.

That's what i tried to do but didn't find the right place in skinstudio for the concerned part of Firefox :(

Like Tom said if you change these it will change them for everything that uses them, but here's how I used to tweak it for (of course) a different O/S and a different Firefox version, if you want to give it a whirl:

Menu Bar text when active: System Colors / Menu Text

Menu Bar Background: System Colors / Button Face

Tab Text: System Colors / Window Text

It can be a real balancing act to make Palemoon/Firefox happy without wrecking the skin, I suggest making the changes as small as you can, good luck.

Thanks, I'll have a try but what are their exact names and places  in Skinstudio ? >_>

If it's the same in the current version, you get to the System Colors section by:

Click on "Change skin colours" in the main section

"Edit Colours" window will pop up

"Show me the skin colour presets" will show in the top pull-down menu, click on the dropdown arrow to the right of that

"Show me the skin defined system colours" will appear in the dropdown menu, click on that

Color tiles will show in the window with the titles under them, e.g. "Menu Text", "Button Face", "Window Text"

Click on a color tile, then click on the "change color" button on the right side of the window

It may be slightly different now, I am after all a dinosaur, but hopefully that will get you there.

Well any changes i maid didn't have any effect on the menu text color in Firefox.

I think i'll find another way, perhaps in changing the color of the cmdbar.bmp

It would not be the command bar neophil78, but it could be the menu bar or toolbar background images.

Yep it is what is called cmdbar.bmp in your Endeavor folder.

Changing the color of it to enough lighter let the "black" menu text in Firefox be visible ;P

As far as i can expect i think that text menu color of Firefox can't be changed (surely defined somewhere in FireFox), Though here's how it goes after changing a little the cmdbar.bmp (and the color of "menu" defined in SkinStudio with the same RGB value) :

Visionner l'image

Of course it changes the apperance of whole Command Bar in any window open (explorer and other softwares), but it keeps fairly close to the "original" one and still close to the "satrt button ...

Wow, weird that the command bar images would affect that area of Firefox, but if it worked, good! Glad you reached a compromise neophil78.

Pretty good tweak to accommodate a problematic app.

I hate it when that happens, I have a couple of apps that do that in a few places.  I double-checked the list I gave you and they still work on my stuff - but ya different versions of everything.

... and perhaps it's also coming of the french versions of apps, long time ago, i found WindowBlinds itself worked differently on a "french" Windows

Chrome's coding screws with Endeavor's roll up button function a bit.

When it is used, the roll up works, but the task bar then moves to the left.

Again, this is Chrome's fault, Tom. Just mentioning it to alert you to this new bit of Chrome weirdness. This does NOT happen with FF or IE.

That's odd Doc as I use Chrome here also, but I have it turned off in WB. I turn off it being skinned in WB, so Chrome uses its own skin. I never have any issues in Chrome that way.

Hence, no issues. My reply was for those who haven't done so...
