background nebula on galaxy map

Is there a way to change the brightness/density of the background nebula that is visible from the galaxy map? I cannot find any options under the graphics options.

Some games will load with a really dense/bright nebula in the background, making it very hard for me to see anything on my map. I usually just save the game, then load it up repeatedly until I get a background that is playable.

I agree and also asked that I be able to turn the background nebula off, but got no response a couple of weeks ago.  Thanks for the mod, a0152570. I don't play with mods, though, so can Stardock address this?

This is a very "low key" mod.  No game play changes.

I asked back in beta 4 or 5,  IIRC Paul said the would look at adding a selection in options.  don't know if the forgot or if it is at the bottom of priority list.  With this mod, thats OK.

I don't know, TBH. I just never have. I guess it's not like I'm allergic to mods.  Not that I'm aware of.

Perhaps it's laziness.  Now I do have that going for me. :)

maybe you will give it try when workshop comes on line.  very painless
