TotA - Which Windows Compatibility Mode is best to use?

I just started playing TotA, and had a lock up while not too far into the game, and I'm wondering,

which  Windows Compatibility Mode   is Best  to use  for this game?   

 

Being the fact that this game that has been out for a while, I'm wondering if using it in Windows 7 is that good of a choice.   

I'm only playing on a   Medium sized  map, and not far in, so I doubt that was the issue.

Hello there,

I play TotA quite a lot on Windows 7 64 bit and it runs just fine. Lock ups and crashed can happen. If you had to pick a compatibility mode I would go with Windows XP because GC2 and it's expansions were developed during the XP era.
