Hi iam about to buy a founder`s pack mostly because im interested in the game itself, but as a programer the fact the engine code will be released excites me.
I would just like to know what do you mean by game`s code is it the full Engine`s code including shader`s parsers ui code e.tc...? if so, that is awesome.
Any source on that?! That's news to me and I don't believe news that good until it is verified ten times.
Well on this website`s store page it says "All game code will be delivered through Steam when available." go look it up 
That is why i made this thread to know what this means exactly.
That means you get a code that you can enter on steam to download the game. Not the source of game.

The other poster is correct, that just means the game itself is delivered via Steam.
Now that's what I call optimism!
Though I wonder if SD could release some limited info and leave the rest to IDA users...
