It was only the time zones that saw me so 'tardy'.  At that time I'd just been made an Admin on skinz.org ..... which I still say wasn't the reason skinz turned up its toes one week later....insisting they were unrelated...;)

The last couple of days trying to access the forums has been frustrating... to say the least.  Fechen frustrating more like it!   My first 5 attempts today ended with those fechen gremlins stealing shit... and zilch/eff all pages loading.  Let's just say that if the sixth attempt failed to log me in, I'd have been off to the Playboy site to look at boooooobie .... um, read the articles.

Currently browsing these forums on a labtop via a mobile connection whose max download rate is 7kb/sec. Loading time per page is 3-10 sec if no huge pictures are present. However, I'm using Opera12 with an improved cache management and alot of addons in place that are disabling all that Google/Facebook/Twitter, also all SD adds aren't loaded in. So practically only text & html has to load with the exception of a few new avatars.

Without disabling the social networks it takes about 1-2 minutes for a single site to open, but mostly, it'll just get stuck somewhere and load forever.

just observed my netmonitor, to post this very answer only a total of 27kB UP/DL was needed.

That's faster than it loads on my desktop on Cox cable.
