Latest Windows 8.1 Update Blew Away Start8!

This morning I just updated to the latest Windows 8.1 Windows Update updates and my Start8 button is gone.  Nor can I get it back!  Nor can I reinstall it!  Error message says that my PC does not meet the program requirements.  When I ignore that and go ahead anyway I get another error message that says the program can't install on my system.

My suspicion is that something in the Windows Update just changed some significant things on my PC.

I will be rebooting and rolling back the bad updates so as to get back where I should be with Start8.

You will want to see if others are having this problem as well.

I have checked here with all the latest updates on Windows 8.1 and I am not seeing the problem.

What version of Start8 did you have installed?

Hi, I rebooted several times, cleaned off unneeded/unused drivers, and re-ran Windows Update.  The problem finally disappeared.  I've had problems with some Windows Updates not working or being applied properly.  And I think that this was an Update not being properly applied automatically.  It's working fine now.
