Capturing Starbases

In the June 5th dev stream, Paul said we might eventually be able to culture flip starbases.

I would like to see a special ops or invasion mechanic to capture a star base myself. 

Attack a starbase with a fleet and a troop transport or two. Once it's HP is down to a certain level if your transport hasn't been blown up have it work like a land invasion mechanic. I like that. Capturing starbases is a good idea.

Actually, they are    Even my wife is starting to joke with me "You want me to hold that for you, I don't think your arms are long enough to read that!"

I agree.  What I really dislike is taking over a planet and then they surrender to another civ while the tactical starbase you wanted goes to another civ.

That would be a start.

So would making it so that the AI can't plop down a starbase in your ZOC. That's really annoying, given how the only way to get rid of it is to declare war and blow it up.
