Why can't we play as Twisted races?

Well.. Just a thought, but why can't we play as say... Darklings? Or Wildlings? And I know, we can recruit/make alliances with them, but I mean as a faction of its own. On the Empire or Kingdom side? I mean, who doesn't want a Small Mighty Hero who fights Bone Ogres or Kraxis. So, Just an idea, if there is a mod for it, I'd love to know.

Children of Storm features the Chaos Legion and Drota, which are twisted and use the models of darklings and wildlings.
