upgrade of ships design clear previous design

Hi,

 

I am playing Twilight of Arnor. When I want to upgrade some ship design it clears all of its components, like engines, weapons, modules. Only some decoration stuff is the same. I don't know if this is as it should be, looks pretty like a bug for me.

This is actually a feature, not a bug. Look through the option menu. There's a setting that will turn off the removal of functional components when upgrading.

Oh, thanks! I would except to see this button to clear functional components somewhere on the design screen.
