I'm not certain what you mean. But if you design a unique ship and use my custom parts, that ship will be designed by you and give you the credit. If you upload the design to steam, that's fine with me, since users can't duplicate a custom part.

A credit to the mod as a comment on the steam file would be very much appreciated.

That's a well known bug with be any custom shop being used in place of a game design.. including fleets made with the fleet editor. Basically... Since your designs don't specify a exact component or placement the game default renders the kinetic animation for all weapons.

Personally I think it was a mistake to depict weapons and components physically on our ship designs, as it results in this kind of silliness and the weapons fire from arbitrary points on the ship anyways.

Gauntlet, just WOW and really impressed with the MOD and the ship parts just what I wanted to use and you can have the full credit you deserve on every thing, I would like to do. Just the way ships sway like in the ocean or hover or bobbles or however you did it.

May I ask, How do you feel about Steam?  My GC2 and Fences is on StarDock and I do like StarDock  alot.

Do you have a Steam Account?  Its up to you but if you hold your roots in StarDock and up load your MOD onto Steam Workshop. You might be able to require some extra donations. I would add you to My friend's List.

Correct. Stardock... Despite early promises... Never came through for mod support on steam... Also, the fleet editor is not "full" and excludes certain designs.

If they did the fleet editor... I'd most likely provide shipsets on steam.

Currently though, I refuse to lower the quality of GRM by doing so, and I can't host the other cool stuff (replacements for mercs, mines, Bazaar, anomalies, etc.) Anyhow.

Uploading stuff now would only steal traffic away from the mod I suspect.

I have been thinking of offering one or two shipsets on steam as "advertising" for GRM...

But I digress...

There is a maximal limit for how many things you can have in one solar system IIRC. 

There are 6116 downloads of Gauntlet's Race Mod without your advertisement nor publishing GRM on Steam Workshop. I don't think Gauntlet needs your help. GRM is the pinnacle mod for GCIII, please don't piss off the author.

Why don't you just design your own ships? 

There is no need to harass the guy, he just meant well without knowing that it's a sore spot. 

And unfortunately, do we even have other active modders? I know that the planet/star types mod is abandoned, and many others are outdated and don't seem to be worked on. 

I see there is a patch now for 3.01 , maybe this will fix CTD after many turns. There was a ctd associated with multiple trade routes. I really just want to play and stop trying to fix this game. I post this in follow up to former reports I made of CTD.

Thanks and get that Durantium drive to 3 at least. I think the distances you go with drives should be DYNAMIC in proportion to the mapsize not static.  And I am still puzzled about Dalek going 39 hexes lol

While Horemvore is around on the forums, I don't think he publically provides his mods anymore. Which is too bad because his work was top notch.

So yeah... I think I'm the only active modder. Admittedly the delivery of new content is slow, but the mod gets maintained version to version, I respond to posts and bug report, and I'll continue to do so.

Frankly the fact that I get donations for it is a good thing to keep me working on it. I'm always looking for a few bucks to finance my other hobbies lol...

I have been working on Adepta Sororitas custom faction on Steam workshop and I want to know, customizing your ship beam and missile turrets (my rail guns are to big to be put on a turret because in this game I played, rail guns are the spine of Capital ships ) to fit in   Adepta ship set that is apart of the faction to be loaded up on Steam workshop if that is ok with you.

Orders Militant of Adepta Sororitas are female warriors of the Ecclesiarchy, a religious inquisitors that bear a resemblance to several Knightly Orders from Medieval Europe, and have a strong Gothic appearance of the Imperium to the extreme feel. Many of their heroines have the personae and attitude of Joan of Arc (especially in Martyrdom and Sainthood). Being an elite army of female zealots, they also bear some resemblance to the Fish Speakers from Frank Herbert's Dune universe. 

Ophelia system should have a giant Purple star with a relic mining base in orbit just for eye candy

Three Gothic style habitable planets is ok with me because your mod lets me fine lower class planets

Ophelia VII should be class 20 relic planet  because its a Forge Home World ( add +20 % Bonus to ship construction only)

Ophelia VI should be class 18 bread basket planet ( add +15 % Bonus to farming only)

Ophelia V should be class 16 place of wonders like a stone arch that is bigger than Mount Everest planet ( add +10 % Bonus to tourism only)

Lots of asteroids 10 to 20

I have a problem at present with this mod in that the bazaar comes up but all the ship placeholders are there but no actual ships....I can't buy any even when I have enough credits. It says I have purchased one but no money is spent and no ship is there.

I have uninstalled the mod and reinstalled...verified files and acquired new  ones but it is always the same result..nada. The races are showing up ok, as are the different anomalies and other features associated with the mod... it is just the bazaar which is not showing correctly.

I have all DLCs and am using the latest opt in.

Apologies but where should I find the ship file zipsb file? It doesn't look right...did you mean the ship.zip file in the Design folder? 

Correct. And the other zip file for object files. Both need to replace their counterparts in the game's directory for mercs to work.

It's a very wonky thing... Sometimes a version won't need this... But more often than not you do.
