Tech trees

So how exactly do they work? I found nothing on the game manual. 

All races have unique trees? 

Are they completely unique or just the place of the same technologies change down the tree? 

Are there a group of technologies and races get some of them? Like 10 trees and each race gets 3-4 that fits their lore? Can you choose which if you make a custom race? 

Do they have the same trees and only the name changes? Do their trees share technologies? 

Can someone answer and give us a short, crystal clear explanation on what's the deal with the tech trees?

A large chunk are standard through out but there are some that are unique to each race. Yor and Dengrin have the most unique and even have some very uniquie buildings.

So if I want to make a custom race and want to go military, I have to get an aggressive's race tree, you can't customize it right? 

 

And what is the basic tree and it's differences compared to race trees?

Well you can mod tech trees. As for aggressive race tree being better militarily I don't really know. They all seem flexible enough to go either way if you try.

Tech trees are a bit complicated. It would be best to pull up the trees yourself and examine them in game but generally most race trees will have something that on the basic will be one or two techs in on a branch on the basic but they will get at they will get at the start with an enhancement. An example would be Kyrnn which an influence building that also give a morale/approval bonus as well. Sometimes you also get things removed like the Yor tech tree which has no need for farms so they don't get farms in their tech tree.
