I'm not sure if anyone will be interested but I am nearly finished making some high resolution backgrounds, race portraits and logos for the major factions/races of Star Trek.

Unfortunately  I was limited in some cases by the low quality images that plague the net and for some reason most the time the only things that came up was screen shots for the Star Trek games. So if anyone comes across a better image I could use for any of them please feel free to link it here :P. In the mean time im looking though all the eps of Star Trek looking for images I could work with.


Any other suggestions or requests please let me know ill be happy to look into it. Have been trying to keep all the color pallets more neutral so you can easily mix and match backgrounds, and I will also be adding additional logos for any faction I have two or more images for.




P.S Obvious, but just to have it stated I dont own the rights to any of the images.

-As requested Added Seven of Nine, also have added Locutus and 3 New Backgrounds

Have added a new Logo album, I plan to make a logo "key" when im done so people know which ones they go with.

Ahh the infamous race of O'Neill!

And yeah I can do Stargate as well after I finish Star Trek :)

Tho I don't plan to do any of the race files, I think half the fun of the races come from your interpretation of them. But I may once the workshop is out, never know lol.

As for seven of nine, I'll put that on my list if you like :) Tho i am surprised no one has asked for Picard like in this pic xD hehe

I love the Next Generation--definitely a favorite... but images like this are so awkwardly wonderful and hilarious I have to wonder what on earth the directors/wardrobe folks were thinking (and what the actors thought about what they were being required to wear). If that is what the future holds, well, we may just be doomed.

Risa does seem nice, though... except when Ferengi are present. Or time travelers. Or grumpy Klingons... Was Risa ever actually nice? And is that picture of Picard even from Risa? Now I'm not so sure... I need to get more sleep.

Speaking of Star Trek, i have been recently rewatching TNG coincidencing with its HD release. The first and Last time i saw it was back in 1996/1997 as a kid, so i guess i did not paid that much attention back then, but now i am pleasantly surprised at high concentration of pretty actresses that graced the show with their presence, like for example:

 

 

 

and there are surely others/more, these are just the ones i recall right now. Still have final 2 seasons to watch, which i haveactually never seen back then. Anyway, it was never a show to watch to see pretty faces, and it still is not, but one has to appreciate beauty, when he sees it :-)

I have most of these already, well done :) .

Turns out I still have a Lot of assets from some of my GC2 mods, including race pictures and ship reference pictures for making ships in the creator.

How would you like to help out on the "Ultimate Sci-Fi War Mod"?

Basically every faction and race here is going to be part of it.

Also Question to Stardock if they read, or anyone else. All the race Portraits in game have a "glow" effect, which i can add to them.. but if i make them a color and you choose a different race color i find it looks funny. Also if you look at my avatar here which is based off the race screen. The purple faded borders are not added to any of the portraits automatically they seem to have to be added in the image themselves.. I hope when they look at it after release they are both automatic when you choose race color :O

Just for fun I made a BONUS Risa faction featuring "Sexy Picard" xD. It is in its own folder, also has 2 Risa logos of the fertility (Horga'hn) statue in the logos album  :)

Oh so many good races to choose from.

 

Star Trek

Definitely need Species 8472 from Voyager. Ferengi from DS9, this needs a picture of Grand Nagus Zek. The Binars are one of my favourite TNG minor races, good luck with high res on season 1. The Phage from Voyager. Oh and of course The Dominion from DS9 with the female changeling as the leader. The Gorn from TOS.. not sure if there are any good pics of them. The Cardassians from DS9 with Dukat. The Sheliak from TNG. The Tellarites from TOS, probably get better pictures from TNG though. Bajor from TNG, with Shakar; I hate Kai Winn. Oh and while I don't know how you'd do the picture, I really love the logo of the Cardassian-Klingon alliance from the mirror universe.

 

Stargate

Replicators. Asgard. Furlings with 'Image Not Found' in place of an image. Oranians. The Nox, make sure to get Armin Shimmerman's Nox guy. The Re'tu. The Jaffa.

 

Star Wars

Wookiee, Ewok, Hutt, Jawa.

 

With the exception of the Ewoks, Jawa, and the Binars I could see any of the above as major races in Gal Civ. If someone's savvy enough to add a minor race mod pack in I'd love to see lots more of the Star Trek races as minors like the Betazoid TNG, the Yriddians TNG, the Denobulans ENT, and the Tamarians TNG; AKA 'Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra.'

I have about 5 races that are about 95% complete that ill post soon im just putting some finishing touches on them :). But in the mean time i made a Race from Starship Troopers, the Arachnids. They dont have an Official logo so i found an image i think suited them and made it the color of the Warrior Bugs, i think it suits :). Ill do the Terran Command for SST as well soon, its nearly done.
