Well, shoot...that was a really cool intro.  I don't usually play the campaigns in 4x games.  But, now I have to check it out,

I appreciate the attempt, and I think i'm the only one here with this opinion, but to me the quality of the character assets / animation instantly makes me think "cheesy".

 If the artists had minimal time / budget to make these, I feel an artistic 2D animation similar to what you would see in endless legend would make it alot more classy.

Just my critique.   Gameplay is excellent, I just feel if you're going to make a 3d cinematic, either invest heavily into it, or go 2d.
