GalCiv III: Stardock needs your help

Hi guys,

We're less than 2 days from release! We've gone gold.

For those of you who have been playing the game recently, we could really use your help on something in particular: Steam user reviews.  We are currently 79%.  We've been on an upward trend since Beta 6 (we were at 66%!).

If we get to 80%, the rating changes to "Very positive".  It would only take a handful of positive reviews to reach that point by release day.

Here's the URL: http://store.steampowered.com/app/226860/

Thanks!

I updated (edited) my previous review. I hope this will work as a new counter

Been pushing it in the streams this week :) when Adam forgets :P

Happy to help. Steam review posted.

Will it reset at release? I find it unfair that reviews directed toward an incompleted game (beta) would affect the rating of a newly released game!

The game is virtually complete as it is right now, only some minor tweaks polishes may be in the final release on Thursday, so what you see is what you get for the most part....

I know but I was wondering it the Steam reviews restarted at release. The early betas reviews are still there, even if they were given by people who wanted a complete game during beta 3.

I'd hope so. But we'll see.

Already done last week, wish I could give you more points again :p

Congrats, looks like you've crossed the "very positive" 80% threshold!

Did my (first ever) Steam review a few days ago. In short, I said the game was "brilliant" (which is true). And it can only get better still.

Hope that helped :)

Good luck on release day!

Consider it reviewed.

Done & done..

Because you asked, and because you definitely deserve it.

I don't usually review anything...  On a related note, I see that it's now 80% "very positive" congrats.  I'll be posting again if they get wiped out after release.

cheers, keep up the hard work & have a beer after crunch time (you guys have some great brewers in MI)..

I obliged, but with the large number of issues I have with the game this close to release, I did not give a positive review :/. I will, however, change it once ("if") I am satisfied with it. If "release is only the begining", then recommending the game is something I will do once the major bugs are gone, exploitable or tedious mechanics are worked out, and AI performs well.

I wrote a positive review but I hope some of the bugs I reported a few times from b5 to now can be fixed soon. :/

ps: The countdown says it will be released on 8pm on Thursday. That's almost one day late. :(

Stardock always goes of US Eastern Standard Time, in which the timer is set to 2 PM on May 14, 2015.  Yes, I will agree that is more than half way through the day, however, this is typically when they launch their games.

That wasn't helpful. The point was to help get the ratings above 80%, which I believe SD definitely deserve. Personally, I feel confident that SD will iron out any remaining kinks and issues soon after release. You can't and shouldn't expect any game to be PERFECT even on official release - such is not possible.

Brad, Paul and the other folks at SD have busted their arse to get this game to the stage it's at now, ready for launch.

Please reconsider your negative review. NO review in this case is better than a negative one.

Looks like it's worked. Now lets keep going and get it 90/10 :p

I have updated my early access review.   I have only one regret, which is that I have only one thumbs up that I can give for this game.

Course I might add that my update didn't change the statistics.  There ought to be a rating system that takes into account early access.  Oh well.

This is the absolute wrong attitude to have.  What is more helpful?  Constructive reviews that maybe negative and highlights real issues with the game or gaming the review system with thoughtless "likes" just to hit an arbitrary mark?  I'd say the former is far more helpful.

You shouldn't be afraid of negative reviews, rather you should try to understand what the issues for it were and if they are valid they should be addressed.

Depends what time zone you are in, naturally they are releasing it according to their own time zone.
