I play on a laptop and I keep running into an issue where I get zoomed in but can't zoom out during a mission.  My touchpad doesn't seem to function as a scroll wheel, so I haven't even figured out how I got zoomed in to begin with.  I know the controls seem like they're self explanatory, but there are no manuals, quick references or anything of the sort anywhere on the site, in the game folder, or even in the forums.  Are there keyboard zoom controls?  If not then I have some interesting bug causing my camera to zoom in.

There is a rough manual in the founder's vault, but the hotkeys don't mention anything about zooming.

I've noticed this as well and I believe it's a bug with snapping the camera to units with the hotkeys. Sometimes when double tapping 1, 2, or 3 I will find myself completely zoomed in.

Yeah you might be double tapping the number keys which will center you on the control group

Here's the hot Key list  from manual

Hot Keys  

● 1, 2, 3: select Servos one, two, and three, respectively.

● Z:  select all Servos.  

● Shift+Z: select all Servos and Drones.  

● B: Build Menu (for deploying buildings).  

● D Select the Dropship.  

● Arrow keys: scroll the map.  

● Shift+Number: to make a control group of selected units.  

● Space Bar: center on the selected items.  

● Double tap on a control group hot key to center on control group.  

● Return: to start/end chat.  ○ Page Up: to bring up chat history.  ○ Page Down: to close

There is a known bug where repeatedly centering on a unit zooms in on that unit. Perhaps that, or a variant, is causing the issue here?
