Screen Placement Win 7 64 bit

Okay this game does show promise.  I started playing and I like what I see to this point.  Here are a few things I noticed right away...

The game is always in windowed mode :(  Not horrible except a few issues with this...

  • A computer with multiple monitors the game naturally opens half on each screen.
  • No option for non-windowed mode.
  • Expand window re-centers the game in the middle of the two monitors.
  • moving the window over to one monitor or the other is fine when in full screen (window), however because it's full screen it doesn't take in effect the windows task bar on the bottom.
    • This causes issues with edge scrolling down as you are unable to move the game over the task bar.
    • Have to click on the map in order to move lower in the game because of the above issues.
  • I am able to reduce the size of the screen to a smaller window, however, I don't see any options to this point to set screen size ect...

Tool tips may be helpful on how to build a mine to mine resources as right now it took me a moment in the last campaign option on how to do that.

Not perfectly clear on what each part is going to do for you, some description, yes, however just gives a general overview of the effect.  Maybe state weak against x strong against y ect...

Otherwise good job, keep up the good work.  I'll play more later.

Edit:

Relaunched game, now just populated small window in middle main monitor, expanding the window though still centered between the two monitors half on one,  half on the other...

Attempting to move the game to one monitor when expanded to full screen now collapses it back down to the smaller window.

Edit2:

Exiting the game caused the clicking sound to get stuck and hung on the computer making that sound until I relaunched the game.

Can you try ALT+Enter(Return) to see if that makes it full screen?

Yes this does make it full screen non-windows mode.  Thanks that works...  On a side note being a founder of Servo do I get a need little tag by my name too like you? or is that only something special for stardock employees ;)

Edit:  NM I see it :)

Additional point...

Here it is, it asks me first for my name and then has me put in a description and gives me this error when I attempt to send.

We're working on that bug reporting button right now. In the meantime if you want to submit anything, check out the updated troubleshooting guide:

I have a simular problem with the screen size on an ultra wide monitor. (2560 x 1080). When Servo opens the options, credit button, etc.. are below the taskbar. Hitting Alt-E does fix it when it goes fullscreen.

We didn't quite manage to get the in-game resolution options hooked up in time for this first Founder's release, but if you hold down the shift-key when you launch the game you will get Unity's default pre-game resolution dialog.  From that you can pick fullscreen vs. window and what resolution you'd like to run at, and it should remember your preference on subsequent launches without having to go through that again.  Clunky, but hopefully that helps until we put the in-game options in.
