Its not my game, i am not the developer but comments like this really irk me. I want to reach through the internet and choke him while screaming... "WTF do you think would not make it look dated.....rainbow unicorns and 3d"...?
ok sorry folks, nothing to see here but an old guy ranting about about a useless comment on the internet....

I want the planets and solar systems to pop out of the screen and use 4 dimensions.  If something was there 30 turns ago I want to be able to see where and when it was.  I need to just be able to look where I want everything to go and bammm...   The planets should look and feel real.  I should be able to zoom in and see the Drengin eating their dinner if I want...

Laser blasts from ships should burn my skin if it shoots in the direction of me.  That's it I'm not buying anymore games until that...

J/K this game is great!!

I've been waiting for Derek or Brad to bring me a cup of coffee, in a Stardock branded cup, since EWOM days. Maybe some day...

100% agree Lars. I think some people make comments like that because they think it makes them appear to be a game guru.

I want to be sitting on the bridge of my battle cruiser as I blow the Drengin out of the sky.

Hate to be the odd man out but people are entitled to their opinion.

And putting his user name in the OP title is BS.

Just curious here, how is reposting a public post on the internet with the person's name that you can see in the OP "BS"? Is it just because it is on a different site? Is my post "BS" because I quoted your post and your name gets included here? I'm not being sarcastic here, I'm just actually scratching my head. I would totally agree with you if it were a private email/PM that got reposted in a public forum but something that is already out in the public domain is fair game, IMHO. Just trying to understand your position.

Because putting his user name (with a link mind you) served absolutely no purpose.

Plus the whole "reach thru and choke him" cause he stated an opinion that the OP didn't agree with.

Sure it served a purpose, it gave credit to the author of the post. It shows it wasn't made up by Larsenex and the link provides that proof. Whether you agree with what he (the original linked post) wrote or not is a moot point. Granted, Larsenex could have chosen his words a little more carefully, which I think is the main issue you have with what he did, but again, IMHO, there is absolutely nothing wrong with quoting and linking to a post someone put up on the internet, if there is an issue someone has with people doing that then you shouldn't post anything on the internet as it's in the public domain...

Yeah they want dated try playing GC2 ToA:UE then play GC3 afterwards- worlds apart!

As the great philosopher Yogi said"I think he's one sandwich short of a picnic basket!"

The look of the game is a little dated. But I'd rather have the developers spend their time on gameplay and AI over fancy mostly-useless graphics.

One advantage of linking the comment is that we can see that the poster did give the game a thumbs up in spite of the snarky comment.

As for acting like posting an internet username is like posting their email address, that's just silly. He posted it he owns it.
