A good chance of no. A lot of the players have moved on to the expansion packs and DLC (latest is Rebellion with its DLCs) as so much is added both visible (units, powers, etc) and invisible (code optimizations, bug fixes, etc.) that the original seems a bit stale. But I could be wrong.

Technically, the Rebellion DLCs are irrelevant for playing multiplayer together.

Exactly, and I don't have the funds to get rebellion, or any of the other DLC's, or else i would have gotten them by now :/ my offer for a multiplayer match still stands, thanks
