New guy in the neighbourhood

After several years I decided to reinstall to games I love. CnC Generals Zero Hour mod Rise of the Reds where I knew there is an active community, and SoaSE Rebellion. I am pleasantly surprised to see people playing these old but gold games. 

Can you help me orientate? Is there a Hamachi and/or a skype group where I can find people and play with them? Also in order to play do I need to own the original game? If yes then which one, cause Steam has many "variations". Currently the version I have is 1.82.

Uh, isn't Zero Hour like a decade older than Rebellion? Its not THAT old.  ;)

 

1.82 is the latest version for Rebellion yes.
