Gal Civ 3 in Window mode

Through Options I changed the game from Fullscreen to Windowed mode.

Now when I launch the game the window appears almost completely off the screen.  I figured out how via Windows OS to move the screen back into the main display area, but the game appears to be frozen-ish.  Even when I move the window back onto the main display if I close it and reopen it the window will continue to open almost completely off screen.  The opening credits play and I can click on the mouse to skip them but then the dialogue comes up about it being a beta but I cannot click on the button to get past that into the menu.  No matter where I click on the screen it will not take the mouse input.

Is there a command line or something I can do to try force it back into fullscreen mode?  I have tried unistanlling and reinstalling via Steam but that has not resolved the issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am running at 1920x1080 which is what is recommended for my monitor.

Based on your question I tried selecting the other two options available to me (I only get 3)

3840x2160 - The game is now completely off the screen

1920x1080 - The game is partial on the screen

1280x720 - The game is now completely off the screen

I had trouble form the get go with the res. My monitor is set for 1360 X 768 I had to end up using 1280 X 720

and I had to set it in  the prefs.ini in order to even see the buttons like wise mine kept showing up off the screen.

Nstytang you are now my HERO.

Based off you comment I found the prefs.ini file (in Documents/MyGames/GalCiv3 folder) and updated it

I changed the following items to

DisplayResolution=1920 x 1080
Fullscreen=1

and now its back to fullscreen, centered on my Desktop and I can click on the button to get past the Beta message.

Its been a LONG time since I had to go in and modify a prefs.ini file for a game and I completely forgot about trying that.

My hat is off to you.
