New Player with possibly new feedback ?

Having just bought this game through Steam and it being a Beta - Feedback was requested so I submit the following. Hope its not a repeat !

When selecting a PRAGMATIC choice of "Free Trade Ship + one licence -  You dont get the licence , you only get the trad ship.

When at the council you select for a random choice of Technology trading - You are not told what random tech your civilisation has received.

There is no explanation of SENTRY ot GUARD  what is the difference ?
