Freezing

Hey whenever I try clicking on the mini-map to go to a new location the game seems to freeze, the mouse still moves the audio still plays but the visuals don't change. Also the task manager says the game is still running but nothing ever happens no matter how long I wait. Just thought I would let ya'll know and if its on my end I would appreciate help to fix it.

Let's start with the basics:

1) How much RAM do you have?

2) What are you're virtual memory settings?

3) How about some system specifications, like CPU type, GPU type, etc.

Mine freezes as well with same behaviour. Here's info:

1) 16 GB Ram

2) 32 GB Page size

3) Basically it's an Intel® NUC Kit D54250WYKH (Intel Core i5 4250U, Intel® HD 5000 Graphics) with Plextor 256 GB SSD

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro fully updated

I have a save file if needed. The freeze can be reproduced on every load and click.

EDIT: Well, it's not freezing everywhere on the map, but only when I have a survey ship and the Manufactoring Relic on (or close to) the visible map. I tried circling the map around without having those two visible, and no freeze, but as soon as the both of them are (close to) visible, then the game freezes. Or it could just be becuz it's at the buttom of the map ?? I donno... ;) I reproduced it some 10 times now, so it's definately reproducable ;-)

meduz4: Have you opened a ticket? While SSDs have gotten a little comment on these forums, the Integrated GPUs have gotten quite a bit of comment. The SD devs have been delving into them quite a bit. I think your best bet is to run the SDSupportTool and open a ticket. Also see the post: Complete List of Errors Posted for Beta 4 Patch 2 0.72.2.0 (& older).

Hi,

I also have the freeze problem.

It usually happens, when I click around the map, while ships are moving, or clicking on stations, while the turn is processing. Whenever I wait for turns to be done, before clicking, I can go longer without a freeze.
